PLAYOFF SCENT IS IN THE AIR, GRITTY PHANTOMS TRUMP VIKINGS 5-4!

The Vikings and Phantoms faced off in a feisty match Thursday night. The Boys In Purple were on a mission and set the tone with a 3-2 lead in the 1st period. Skylar Strumas, captain Will Shead and Dylan Warren each found the net. Vikings Joe Robb and Brett Estabrooks scored the 1st period goals for the Vikings. John Letterio and Matt Page would follow up with 2 more to boost the Vikings to a 4-3 lead in the final frame. The lead wouldn’t last long as Phantoms Chris Riguse pounded in his 1st of the year to even the score 4-4 minutes later. Both teams left all on the ice until Phantoms sniper Dylan Warren hammered in his 2nd of the night to take the 5-4 lead. Ryan Shaw shut the door and hung on as the Phantoms captured their 7th W with big win.
